  • Best view of the day, came across some susuki (silver grass in English apparently) fields on the West side of Fuji heading south.
  • Taken while climbing up Mt. Asama, Honshu's most active volcano.
  • Stunning scenery from the top of Mt Meakan, an active volcano in central Hokkaido. This was probably one of the best hikes i've ever done.
  • Gorgeous landscapes near Biei, Hokkaido.
  • "Wild" horses on the northern tip of Aomori. Although they ARE apparently wild, they were the most tolerant horses i've ever encountered. One certainly seemed to enjoy nibbling all the luggage on my motorcycle...
  • Water carrying sulphur drains into the lake near Osorezan, a mountain temple with numerous natural steam vents that represents buddhist hell.
  • The hellish landscape at Tamagawa hot springs, the most acidic hot spring source in Japan.
  • Enjoying (?) the 'green tea' bath at a bizarre bath house that had a coffee bath, wine bath, green tea bath, and even a soda popsicle bath. Was worth a look for all the oddities, but also very gimmicky!
  • Mt. Fuji, taken from the midpoint of a random hiking trail i found while passing by.
  • Shiroto Waterfall on the west side of Mt. Fuji. <br /> <br /> ...and unfortunately the final resting place of my lens cap.
  • Some park in western fukushima. The amount of fallen cherry blossom petals was incredible, literally blanketing most of the area.
